International Mother Language Day

South Africa has 11 Official Languages and we celebrate our multilingual country today with book readings and the opportunity to learn a new language.

8 March We celebrate phenomenal women
International Women's Day

YUPS will be hosting a highly motivational event with successful female speakers from industries such as Engineering, Aeronautics, Farming and Project Management. We will also be discussing many important issues women in our country are facing such as Gender Based Violence.

14 to 20 March Did you know that Glaucoma is the 2nd most common cause of blindness worldwide?
World Glaucoma Week

The goal of this event is to to alert everyone to have regular eye (and optic nerve) checks in order to detect glaucoma as early as possible.Through a series of engaging worldwide activities patients, eye-care providers, health officials and the general public are invited to contribute to sight preservation. 

24 March Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that claims many lives every year and is particularly prevalent in South Africa.
TB Awareness Creative Fair - World TB Day

As March is TB Awareness Month, on World TB Day, YUPS will be engaging the community in learning about TB while participating in fun and activities such as creating educational posters and enjoying live performances. The Creative Fair will have performances from local musicians and poets alike.
