Shaping The Future

YUPS (Youth Upliftment Projects & Skills development) is an NPO aimed at combating poverty and creating opportunities for the youth of South Africa. We equip young South Africans in current 4IR skills and assist them in obtaining employment and internships as well as developing them to think like entrepreneurs.

Digital Skills Training

We train our youths in the most in-demand skills needed in the fourth industrial revolution.

Ensuring Work Readiness

We equip our youth to be ready for the challenges of the work environment and train government entities.

Creating Awareness

We create awareness programs to fight against important issues that threaten our communities.

Modern Agriculture

We create awareness programs to fight against important issues that threaten our communities.

About Us

Each One, Reach One, Teach One

Through uplifting communities and eradicating poverty, people can become self-sustainable and communities can be truly economically independent. Focusing on previously disadvantaged communities, providing training in courses such as 4IR(Fourth Industrial Revolution) skills development, Agriculture, Sports and  Recreation, Community Safety, and Facilitation Training & Awareness Campaigns.

Youth Uplifting Project and Skills development (YUPS) is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and a section 18a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), and therefore has a board of directors who are members of the organisation. To date we have been very effective in terms of awareness campaign workshops. We are beacons of hope, and agents of change through which young people can discover their truest potential, guiding them towards a better future.

Our Projects

All we’ve done and are continuing to pursue.

Our current projects are in partnership with Afrika Tikkun, Lewerb Holdings, Microsoft GSISA (Global Skills Initiative South Africa) where we provide online learning opportunities for youths in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. A Robotics Couching programme  in partnership with The Lego Company accredited by UNISA. Tiya Mosadi; A women empowerment programme  essential to the health and social development of families and communities.

When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they can reach their full potential. Contributing their skills to the workforce and raise happier and healthier children. One of our Tiya Mosadi programmes are our Women’s Imbizo community chain prayer, where women of the community gather to pray for our country, communities and families. Our three main self-sustainable programmes that cater for the previously disadvantaged, less fortunate and vulnerable are, Young Cubbs Book Club (Early Childhood Development) , Qhakaza (Youth Uplifting and Skills Development) and Dondolo (Active Aging)

The youth is the hope of our future

Where elderly citizens get to enjoy stimulating intellectual  and cultural environment workshops, where they learn more about food, nutrition, healthy aging and get tips on making healthier lifestyle choices to improve and maintain their physical, mental and emotional health. We are  passionate in creating employers so that we can fast track employment, by doing business trainings, equipping them to set up businesses within the community and network amongst each other. In this way combating poverty, creating sustainable solutions for areas that are low LSM (Living Standard Measure). YUPS is the cornerstone for the growth of the economy and the creation of decent work and business opportunities.

Youth unemployment is one of the biggest challanges facing South Africa. The adverse social effects of unemployment such  as teenage pregnancy, alcohol and drug abuse health problems and crime will be reduced by the youth having  sustainable employment and business opportunities.
